Grace for the Broken - the sequel to Restoring Hope - is due for release in July 2026.

Wombat Valley is a town shaped by fire, loss, and the fragile work of rebuilding.

Jesse Walker is trying to live quietly, working hard and keeping to himself. But for a young man with a criminal record, fresh starts are complicated—and a crime spree in town doesn’t help in shedding his past.

Ruby, a new mother to baby Samuel, is wary of Jesse and fiercely protective of the life she’s building. As she weighs the pull of new dreams and the unease stirred by the town’s charismatic new vet, Ruby must learn to trust her instincts—and her fledgling faith.

At the same time, a bold but fragile initiative is launched: the Community-Based Accountability and Restoration Initiative (CBARI), a Men’s Behaviour Change program facilitated by an experienced psychologist. The program brings together a group of men responsible for harming partners and families. Some come deflecting. Some resisting. A few come hoping. Change, they learn, is lifelong work. Not all are willing.

Hope has walked through fire to get to safer ground beyond her abusive marriage but some embers from the past are haunting her. Her fiancé Joe is wrestling with more than just his own grief. When Pastor Tom and Eve encourage them to dig into the rocky soil of their pasts before walking down the aisle, Hope is challenged to address lingering pain through a creative therapy group, while Joe is challenged to take a long drive to visit his grief.

As truths are revealed and trust is tested, the people of Wombat Valley face a difficult question: can healing and trust ever take root where harm has been done?

Grace for the Broken is a tender, unflinching story about second chances, protective love, and the quiet power of God’s grace to meet people on the long road from harm—no matter where they come from.
